IMPHAL: Chief Minister of Manipur Yumnam Khemchand Singh chaired a security meeting this evening at the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, the Chief Secretary, the Commissioner (Home), ADGPs, IGPs, DIGs, SPs of all districts led by the DGP. Some SPs who could not attend the meeting physically attended the meeting virtually, a statement from the chief minister’s office.

The meeting was held in view of the security scenario arising out of the Tronglaobi incident, the statement also said. Yumnam Khemchand Singh directed all the high-ranking civil and police officers to closely monitor the situation and make every effort to improve the law-and-order situation, it also said.
Also on Wednesday, the Chief Minister chaired the Combined Headquarters (Unified Command) security meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The meeting was attended by the Home Minister, Security Advisor, the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur, 3 Corps Commander and other high-ranking officers from the Army, Assam Rifles, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB as well as other central security forces and intelligence agencies.
