Six Manipur Cadets Commissioned as Indian Army Officers

Ukhrul, June 16: Former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday congratulated the six young cadets of the state who have been commissioned as officers in the Indian Army after successfully completing training at the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun.

The six newly commissioned Army officers are Thokchom Shiggarth, M Denish Singh, Naoton Meitei, Naoba, Meghnat Soibam, and Ronendro Angom.

Notably, the six young men have studied together since Class 6 in 2013 at Sainik school in Imphal. They cleared the NDA entrance exam in 2021 and joined training together at both the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and became officers in the Army together.
