Talui: Manipur Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (MPMCC) meet 45-Chingai block Ukhrul District Mahila Congress Committee was held at the residence of Sword Vashum for interaction session and gift exchange.
MPMCC team meeting was led by Mutum Sarma, president MPMCC, Shamshad Begum vice president, RK Tamphasana Devi, g/s MPMCC, Cosmic Jajo Gg/s MPMCC and Alfred Huiningshumbam Angom, Social Media MPCC.
Intending Congress candidate of 45-Chingai (ST) AC for the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly polls, Sword Vashum had said in his blessing ceremony on November 18 at Talui village had said that his decision to contest in the upcoming state general election was purely to revive and promote youths and shoulder the loads of the grassroots people and lamented that democratic exercise are reduced to open field for blatant display of money and muscle power.
Sword Vashum suggested had expressed that the only way to wriggle ourselves out of this never ending shameful and painful vicious circle is to ensure the coming assembly election by involving ourselves in ensuring Article 371C.
