Manipur COVID-19 fatality number rose to 116 with the deaths of five more people in the last 24 hours.
As per the daily update of the state Health department, five male COVID-19 patients of ages 60 to 84 years expired in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 116.

Meanwhile, a total of 322 new cases of COVID-19 were detected during the testing of 2,762 samples in the last 24 hours, till 4 pm of October 18 in the state. Among them 13 are CAPF personnel.

The state has so far tested 3,30,798 samples, out of which results of 15,463 were positive for the virus. Of the total infections, 2,643 were personnel of Central security forces posting in the state.

Of this total infection, 11,741 including 2,350 CAPF personnel were discharged from the Covid care facilities after they recovered from the viral infections.

As such only 3606 active cases were treated at Covid care facilities across the state. Among them, 289 were CAPF personnel.

The recovery rate of the state stands at 75.92%.
