Manipur COVID-19 recovery rate at at 98.45% with 77 active cases

COVID-19 active cases in Manipur further dipped to 77 with the discharge of 15 more patients after they recovered from the viral infection against seven news positive cases reported on Tuesday.

With no death due to the pandemic reported in the last 24 hours, the fatality tally remains at 373.

As per the daily status update report of the state Health department, with the seven fresh positive cases reported in the last 24 hours (till 4pm of February 9), the infection tally rose to 29,137.

The tally included 28,687 recoveries as 15 patients discharged on Tuesday led to the further decline of the active cases to 77. The recovery rate of the state stood at 98.45%.

Among the seven new cases, one was CAPF personnel, while, of the six among the general population two were from Senapati district and one each from Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal and Kakching districts.

Of the 15 recoveries, 12 were from the home isolation while one each were treated at JNIMS, RIMS and Shija hospitals.

Meanwhile, the total number of people vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine in the state reached 11,024 with 1,078 vaccinated on Tuesday.

The total number of healthcare workers vaccinated was 10,648, the Health department informed.
