Esme Shaiza, Miss Friendship International Manipur, accords hero’s welcome at Imphal airport

Ukhrul, November 7: After earning the spotlight at the prestigious Miss Friendship International 2025 in China, Manipur’s Esme Singh Shaiza received a warm homecoming reception at Imphal international airport on Thursday.

Shaiza, who is currently the reigning Miss Shirui Lily 2025, was warmly accorded by family members, Shirui villagers, friends and well-wishers. The reception programme was organised by the organising committee of Miss Shirui Lily.

During the international pageant event held in China’s Chengdu from October 15 to November 5, 2025, Shaiza earned the coveted ‘Miss Talent’ subtitle. In addition, she was officially appointed as the Global Ambassador for JEEHO Automobiles.

Speaking to media persons at Imphal airport, Shaiza expressed her gratitude to the people of Manipur for their continuous support and encouragement. She also thanked the organising committee of Miss Shirui Lily and the designers for placing their trust in her at the international event.

Sharing her journey to the international event, Shaiza described her participation as one of the most remarkable experiences of her life so far.

“China not only showed me its beauty, but it reflected all of us together, and that is the most beautiful part of the journey. I can’t wait to go back, explore more, and find new inspiration,” she said.

The Grand Coronation Night of Miss Friendship International 2025 was held in Guizhou City, China, on November 5 (Wednesday). During the event, Miss Canada and Miss Mongolia were crowned as Grand Winners, while Miss Poland and Miss Thailand secured the titles of 1st Runners-up.

Miss USA and Miss Vietnam were announced as 2nd Runners-up, followed by Miss Malaysia and Miss Philippines as 3rd Runners-up.
On the other hand, Miss Serbia and Miss Estonia shared the title of 4th Runners-up.
