Manipur Governor Reviews Security Situation in Follow-Up Meeting at Raj Bhavan

Imphal, Mar 4: Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a security meeting today at Raj Bhavan in Imphal and reviewed the overall law and order situation in the State.

Today’s meeting was a follow-up meeting after the security situation of Manipur was reviewed at a meeting held in New Delhi recently, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Shri Amit
Shah, a statement from the Raj Bhavan said.

Last week, Amit Shah had directed security officials to ensure free movement of people on all roads in Manipur from March 8 and also called for strict action against those creating obstructions.

Amit Shah had also instructed agencies to complete fencing work on both sides of the designated entry points along Manipur’s international border at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the meeting was attended by several top officials, including Chief Secretary P.K. Singh, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh, and DGP Rajiv Singh. Also present were Commissioner (Home) N. Ashok Kumar, GOC 3 Corps Lt. Gen. Abhijit S. Pendharkar, and GOC 57 Mountain Division Maj. Gen. S.S. Kartikeya. IG AR (South) Maj. Gen. Ravroop Singh, ADGPs of Manipur Police, IG CRPF Rajendra Narayan Das, and IG BSF S.K. Mishra were also part of the high-level discussions.
