Manipur Govt extends Internet Ban in 7 Districts for 3 more days

Ukhrul: The Government of Manipur as temporarily extended suspension of internet for another three days.

The temporary suspension of internet and mobile data services in seven districts of Manipur will take effect from 5:15 PM of Wednesday till 5:15 PM of Saturday, as per the order.

The affected districts as per the government order are: Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching,
Kangpokpi and Churachandpur
.

GoM under the Telecom Suspension of Services (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules, 2017, owing to the current conflict in parts of the State stated, having “situation is likely to cause serious disturbances to the peaceful co-existence and maintenance of public order, do hereby order temporary suspension/curbing of internet and mobile data services including VSATs, broadband (IILL & FTTH) and VPN services.”
