Manipur Human Rights Commission to Campaign for Free and Fair Election 2022

Aimed at facilitating “Free and Fair” conduct of the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022, Manipur Human Rights Commission has said it will launch a public campaign on “People For Change.”

Khaidem Mani, Acting Chairperson of Manipur Human Rights Commission MHRC told media that youths will take part in the state wide campaign to raise public awareness on voting for the right candidates. He also said that the campaign will begin with a cycle rally and awareness programme across the State for two weeks.

He also appealed to civil bodies in the Hill districts to launch campaign for conduction of Free and Fair elections.

He also stressed on not taking bribe during election and proper usage of audit franchise, talking to media at the Commission Office in Lamphelpat.

Khaidem Mani maintained that MHRC will strictly monitor on the upcoming General Election to protect the voting rights of electorates, and further added that the commission will inform Election Commission to conduct election properly.
