Manipur Human Rights Commission to conduct Camp Sitting cum Human Rights Awareness Programme at Ukhrul

Ukhurl: Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) will visit Ukhrul district headquarters from July 18 till July 20 to conduct Camp Sitting cum Human Rights Awareness Programme.

The camp sitting will be held at the Conference Hall of deputy commissioner Ukhrul on July 19 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Concerned citizens of Ukhrul district may raise any issues relating to human rights during the Camp Sitting, a release from the commission informed.

A separate awareness programme for police officers at the district police headquarter, Ukhrul under the theme, “Needs of Police Reforms to ensure human rights” on July 18 will be organised, it said.

The chairperson, Khaidem Mani will attend a public meeting which will be organized by the community members of Ukhrul district on July 19 at 3 PM.

On the last day on July 20, the commission said it will visit the District Hospital Ukhrul and a number of schools for inspection and discussion with concerned authorities before departure.
