Manipur records 11 deaths, 644 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Manipur recorded 11 death cases due to COVID-19 related cases in the past 24 hours. This update put the fatality tally of COVID-19 related death cases of Manipur to 646 on Thursday. The infection tally of the state is also about to reach the 42,000-mark with 644 more fresh cases of the disease reported in the last 24 hours.

As per the daily report of the state Health department updated today at 5 pm, 11 persons including five women succumbed to the COVID-19 related complications in the past 24 hours. Seven of the latest coronavirus victims were from Imphal West, three from Imphal East and the remaining one from Churachandpur district.

The update also said that the COVID-19 caseload of Manipur to 41,909, out of which 6904 were active cases.

With 304, Imphal West district remained on top in the detection of maximum number of daily infections which was followed by Imphal East with 191 fresh positive cases.

With the discharge of 546 patients upon recovery, the recovered tally of the state rose to 34,359 with 81.98% recovery rate.

Meanwhile, the total number of samples tested in the state rose to 6,72,488 adding 3,113 samples tested for the virus in the past 24 hours.
