Manipur records two fresh COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Only 14 persons were vaccinated to take the cumulative number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state to 85,731 including 31,592 healthcare workers.

Manipur recorded two fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday after 528 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

The fresh positive cases were one each from Kangpokpi and Ukhrul districts, state Health department said in its daily update report of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

There was no report of death in the past 24 hours. As such, the cumulative number of fatalities remained at 374 even as two patients were recovered during the same period.

The two fresh cases took state’s infection tally to 29,393, out of which 3,442 were Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel. The tally included 28,952 (3,433 CAPF personnel) recoveries.

The number of active cases remained at 67 and the recovery rate of the state stood at 98.49%.

Meanwhile, only 14 persons were vaccinated on Tuesday to take the cumulative number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state to 85,731 including 31,592 healthcare workers.
