Manipur reports two fresh COVID-19 cases

Manipur’s COVID-19 tally stood at 29,313 on Sunday after two fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours, said the state Health department.

The death toll due to the viral disease remains at 373 with no fatality in the last 24 hours (till 4pm of March 14).

The active case declined to 26 as three more patients were discharged upon recovery on Sunday. The recovery tally of the state reached 28,914 which is 98.63%.

All the two fresh positive cases reported today were all females hailing from Imphal West and Churachandpur district.

They were diagnosed with the viral disease during testing of a total of 716 samples during the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested for COVID-19 in the state climbed to 5,62,916.

Meanwhile, the total number of people vaccinated against the pandemic also rose to 76,055 with 592 people inoculated on Sunday. The total beneficiaries included 30,735 healthcare workers, the Health department said.
