Roshan Mainam defeated Lui Peng Shuai the dangerous knockout arstist of China in the opening bout of ONE Champioship’s “Reign of dynasties” in Singapore. The victory came through a rear-naked choke in the second round.

This was his second successful fight in the flyweight division of ONE Championship. Roshan made his debut in November 2019 at “ONE: Masters of Fate” in Manila against Khon Sichan of Cambodia. The Manipuri fighter submitted his Cambodian opponent through an armlock in the first round.

The 24 year old Roshan Mainam Luwang, known as “The Notorious Indian” hails from Thoubal District of Manipur, India and is currently based in Singapore where he trains at Evolve MMA and is also the Asian Instructor there.

Roshan was a member of prestigious Guru Hanuman Akhara, Delhi one of the oldest wrestling school in India where he joined at the age of 9 which is very rare for a young boy coming from North-eastern part of India. He has been a four times Delhi state Wrestling Champion. Roshan changed his course from wrestling to MMA after seeing the popularity of Isaac Kario, perhaps the first popular MMA fighter from Manipur.
