Manipur’s COVID-19 active cases increase to 28

COVID-19 active cases in Manipur has increased to 28 on Wednesday as against 24 cases in the previous day after seven fresh positive cases were reported against four recoveries on Wednesday.

The state’s COVID-19 recovery rate also declined to 98.63% against the previous day’s 98.64%.
The seven fresh positive cases reported in the last 24 hours took the overall COVID-19 caseload in the state to 29,323, said the state Health department in its daily COVID-19 status report.

Among the seven fresh cases, one is a personnel of CAPF and of the six among the general populace, four are from Noney district, two from Senapati and one from Bishnupur district.

With four patients discharged upon recovery, the recovery tally of the state rose to 28,922 and active cases to 28.

The fatality remained at 373 as there is no report of death due to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, the Health department said.

On the other hand, with 692 people vaccinated on Wednesday, the total number people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state rose to 77,819. The vaccinated people included 30,886 healthcare workers.
