Imphal: Manipur’s Thoi Lamujam bagged the Miss Transqueen India, 4th runner-up title that was held at Pride Plaza Aerocity in New Delhi on April 7.

Thoi also bagged the Best State Costume and the Miss Photogenic sub-tittles of the beauty contest. She will be representing India at the Miss Trans Global competition later this November.

A team led by Manipur Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president Mutum Sarma gave a rousing welcome to Thoi Lamujam upon her arrival at the Bir Tikendrajit International airport in Imphal Tuesday afternoon.

Miss Trnasqueen India 2023 went to Arshi Ghosh from Mumbai with Ella Dev Verma as the first runner-up and Victoria Taying as the second runner-up. 

Three contestants from Manipur competed in the beauty pageant powered by the pride plaza group of hotels, organised by Miss Transqueen India Founder Reena Rai.

Thoi Lamujam thanked the Congress Party Mahila Committee for giving her a warm welcome.

Stressing the need for gender sensitization in society, Thoi said she would have achieved more in the competition had she got enough support and co-operation from the masses.

The beauty pageant was judged by a panel of seven judges, including Rita Gangwani, Varun Katyal, Akassh K Aggarawal, Shraddha Jain, Yogita Bhayana, Lizza Malik, and Neelam Saxena.
