In what could be the setting of a bench mark in the Tangkhul music industry, Maphã Luilu music video certainly is an achievement, a trend setter for the emerging talents for the Tangkhul music artists of Ukhrul and its diaspora.
The highly anticipated music video was premiered with much fervour on Saturday at Uchek Cafe, Imphal with Chuimeila Keishing w/o K Leishiyo, MLA 43-Phungyar AC as the Chief Guest. The launch event kick started at IST 5:30 pm at the Cafe, while the online streaming of Maphã Luilu was launched on UTflix.com at IST 5:00 pm.
The premier event in Imphal was attended by singer Sorri Senjam, actor Shadananda Hamom, Jeetendra Ningomba, President CCSK, convenor PPCM, film maker, A C Rasing, Founder of The Indigenous Foundation, Pooja Elangbam, SDO Impahl West, IAS 2018 batch, Phapha Gachui, Miss Manipur 2016, A R Mathing, Miss Manipur 2019, Khathing Ronrei, Managing Editor and Co-Founder Ukhrul Times and UTflix.com, Awungpanla Raman, owner & proprietor Pãngsin, lyricist Okcharphi Ahum, Chanvophy Hungyo, Stylist, Awon R Vashum, Make-up Artist, among others.
Super talented Director Mazanmung AC’s creativity behind the scene, videography by Song Song Leivon, Editing by Sopkai zimik, Song Song Leivon, Mazanmung AC, and the rest of team Maphā Luilu made all the difference in the making and success of this mega music video project by Ukhrul standards.
The music video is a join collaboration between well known and celebrated Tangkhul singers Yungyung and MOC, starring Veronica Awungshi (Miss Spring 2018 & Social Media Influencer).
Project Manager & Executive producer, Mashungmi Zingkhai reiterated the importance of showing support for local artists and content creators in Manipur, especially in the hills, creating an environment for the mass online consumers to understand what goes into making of such music videos is more important at this point, adding that their first project Maphã Luilu isn’t for profiteering.
