SHILLONG: Internationally acclaimed guitarist Marcin is set to perform in Shillong on August 12, 2026 at Lariti Performing Centre, Mawkasiang.
The show is part of the Marcin – Art of Guitar Tour 2026, presented by Jameson Connects and Foreword Lifestyle and Experiences LLP, and supported by the Government of Meghalaya.
The 25-year-old Polish musician is signed to Sony Classical and known for pushing the acoustic guitar beyond its limits — blending fingerstyle, percussion and orchestral arrangements.
He has over 500 million YouTube views, 4.2 million Instagram followers and has performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
India is already his fourth-largest audience on digital platforms.Organisers expect a big turnout of students, musicians and music lovers from across Meghalaya and the Northeast.

The concert also includes outreach with colleges and student ticketing to engage young audiences. Local artists welcomed the announcement.
L.B. King from the CM’s Meghalaya Grassroots Music Program said, “If you’re into guitar, there’s no other place to be.”Hannah, also from CM-MGMP, added, “I never expected an international guitarist to perform in Shillong.
”The tour will also feature The Great Indian Riff Off, a nationwide contest to find India’s next undiscovered guitarist. One winner will open for Marcin on the tour.
Arpan Peter, Founder of Foreword Lifestyle and Experiences LLP, said the partnership with Jameson Connects aims to bring global artists to India in a way that is “thoughtful, immersive and community-driven.”
The Government of Meghalaya said the concert reinforces Shillong’s reputation as one of India’s most vibrant music cities.
