Masakui Rungsung Appointed As Next High Commissioner Of India To Jamaica

Ministry of External Affairs has appointed Masakui Rungsung, Indian Foreign Service 2001 batch, as the next High Commissioner of India to Jamaica. He is presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Under the Ambassador’s profile, R Masakui served in Reserve Bank of India from 1999 to 2001. He served as Third Secretary/Second Secretary, Jakarta, Indonesia, Under Secretary, UNES, New Delhi, Consul in Johannesburg, South Africa, Counsellor in Dhaka, Bangladesh, after joining the Indian Foreign Service.

Apart from his prominent diplomat role, Masakui has also served as Director in the Ministry of External Affairs.

He is married to Zingcharwon and they have two sons.
