Medical camps held in Chandel under SNSPA

Chandel, September 29: Continuing with the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan campaign, the District Health Society, Chandel on Monday organised one-day medical camps at CHC, Chakpikarong and PHC, Komlathabi in Chandel district. The SNSPA campaign is being observed from 17th September to 2nd October.

At the Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong, over 10 stalls were set up with specialist doctors in Gynae, Ortho, Paediatrics, Dentistry, General Medicine, etc. Besides these facilities, others such as Ultrasound, sugar and haemoglobin testing, and cervical and oral cancer screenings were also provided.

At the CHC, Chakpikarong, over 260 individuals registered and got themselves checked or screened. Free medicines were also provided to those in need. CMHT and PMJAY card registrations were also carried out at the spot, including ABHA.

At the Primary Health Centre in Komlathabi, about 140 people from the area got themselves registered. The camp at the PHC also offered a series of treatments in Gynae, Ortho, Paediatrics, Medicine and others. Free screening was also done for cancer, BP, TB, sugar, etc.

Launched at the District Hospital, Chandel on September 18, the medical camp under Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan will be carried out till 2nd October in the district. On October 1, the camp will be held at Anal Khullen village, an inside source informed.
