Shillong: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics & IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar has assured that the BJP will address all pending issues including the Inner Line Permit (ILP) if voted to power in Meghalaya.

“I can assure you that the most important and ticklish issues that lasted for years in Meghalaya will also be sorted out if the BJP is elected to power and forms the government,” Chandrasekhar said when asked if BJP will ensure Meghalaya gets ILP.

Stating that the party does not believe in using these things as election-time gimmicks, he said, “We don’t use emotions to polarize to create vice between people, we think every Indian citizen, every citizen of Meghalaya must work together. That is why the Prime Minister says, ‘It is only together as a community as a state that we can create a better tomorrow’.”

He said the present NDA-led government has dealt with issues that were lingering for 70-75 years and has solved those issues by sitting down with all those affected.
