SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) leader Paul Lyngdoh dismissed speculations of joining the National People’s Party (NPP), calling these speculations as “conjectures and theories.”
“I do not know where these are all conjectures and theories,” Lyngdoh said, emphasizing that he has no intention of leaving the UDP.

He acknowledged that some sections of the party are unhappy with the recent reshuffle handled by the leadership but stressed that such issues should be discussed internally.
“Of course, there are various sections within the party which are not happy with the way that the reshuffle was handled by the party leadership, but these are matters which we will discuss internally,” he said.
Lyngdoh asserted his commitment to the party, declaring, “I insist on one point, which is that throughout my career in the political sphere, I have always been a fighter and never a quitter. I will not quit that easily.”
