UT Events | Ukhrul, July 22: Meiphung Productions team visited quarantine centres in and around Ukhrul Headquarters on 18th July 2020. Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Hamleikhong, Little Angel English School, Tangrei, Industrial Training Institute, Alungtang, Pettigrew College, Somsai, St. Mary School, TK Woodland Resort Centres to name a few.
The visit was led by Meiphung Productions Chief Operating Officer, Seema KS Awungshi. Meiphung Production is a celebrated film production company in Ukhrul. The visit was also accompanied by the Tangkhul Co-ordination Forum (TCFC) on COVID-19. TCFC committee was constituted by the civil society organisations along with the District Administration and District Medical Department in the wake of the pandemic and to prevent the possibility of community transmission.
The COO, Seema KS Awungshi, encouraged inmates in quarantine centres the need to fight the pandemic together. Seema said, “the only way we’re going to get through this crisis is if we think as WE, not ME”.
