Minister Awangbow Newmai inaugurated IVR from Katang-Impa

Tamenglong: Minster Awangbow Newmai, minister of Forest,  Environment & Climate Change, Sericulture, inaugurated IVR connecting between Impa to Katang villages under Tamei constituency on December 17. The said project was constructed under PWD, government of Manipur.

During his visit, leaders from various organizations accompanied the minister. Hundreds of people from surrounding villages came out to greet the minister showing their appreciation for his tireless efforts to bring development at par with the rest of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister asserted that development is not something which is brought about by time but by the collective efforts of everyone. He also appreciated the role played by various leaders against all odds to see the changes in the area.

Contending that peace is essential for development,  Awangbow reassured his commitment to the people in bringing peace and development in the region. He further appealed every community to work towards peaceful co-existence and harmony in the state.

Further, two villages, namely Katang and Impa unanimously decided to vote in favour of Awangbow Newmai in the coming general election 2022.

En route, he also visited the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Kawaluang Baptist Church, advent Christmas celebration of the joint Katang Catholic Churches at Katang Mbeukam.
