Mizoram reports 6 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours

AIZAWL, SEP 4: At least 6 people, including 2 security personnel, have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Mizoram in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 1,046, an official report said on Friday.

According to the report, four of the new cases were reported from Aizawl district while 2 were reported from Kolasib district. All the patients are non-state residents, the report further said. Two truck drivers are among the new patients, the report added.

Meanwhile, according to the latest update, Mizoram has now 365 active cases in the state while 681 people have already recovered from the disease. The report also said that as many as 42,977 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state till date.

It can be mentioned here that Mizoram is the only state in the country which has not reported fatality due to COVID-19.
