MK Preshow meets MoS Dr Rajan: Appeals for early establishment of Border Haats at Tusom

Former deputy speaker MK Preshow, joined by BJP Karyakartas met with MoS Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Union Minister of State Education and External Affairs, GoI at his residence in Imphal today. Dr Ranjan was presented with a Raphei Longpi pottery along with Haorā (Chongkhom for his wife), Pāsi and fresh vegetables produce from the 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency.

Preshow while calling upon Dr Rajan, congratulated for his appointment as a minister in the Narendra Modi’s government at the centre. He underscored that Dr Ranjan’s inclusion in the ministry of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is a huge achievement welcomed by all.

Talking beyond meet and greet, Preshow highlighted pertinent projects pending and appealed Dr Ranjan for an early establishment and construction of border haats bazaar at Tusom village. Tusom is located at the border of India and Myanmar.

“The proposal of constructing the border haats has been submitted by the government of Manipur under the ministry of Commerce, GOI. The establishment of border haats will ensure and boost the economy of the state.” added Phreshow.

Among various discussions, Preshow also highlighted network connectivity (internet/broadband) related challenges at Ukhrul and Kamjong districts vital for online education as the present day demands. “The improvement brought will benefit the education sector in particular and the public in general,” Preshow said.

It was informed that MoS Dr Ranjan was scheduled to visit Ukhrul but it was called off due to unavoidable circumstances. However, the people of 45 Chingai AC was able to meet him for a valuable interaction and fruitful discussion.

MK Preshow took to his official Facebook handle on his meeting with MoS and said, “Met Dr RK Ranjan, Union Minister of State Education and External Affairs, Government of India along with the the BJP Karyakartas of 45-Chingai AC at his residence in Imphal. Discussed early establishment and construction of Border Haats at Tusom village, at the border of Myanmar for which the proposal has been submitted by the Government of Manipur under the ministry of Commerce, GOI.

Highlighted on the difficulty of network connectivity (internet/broadband) which is vital for virtual education at the present.

The honorable minister was suppose to visit Ukhrul but due to unavoidable circumstances the program was cancelled. However, the people of 45 Chingai AC was able to meet him at him residence and had a blessed time. Presented him with Haorā (Chongkhom for his wife), Pāsi and fresh vegetables produced at 45 Chingai AC.”
