More COVID-19 care facilities to come up in Manipur

UT News Service | IMPHAL, JULY 31: The state government of Manipur has identified locations in the state to open new COVID-19 care facilities given the rapid surge of COVID-19 in the state alarmingly with locally transmitted cases. An official source however didn’t disclose the precise identified locations.

Health minister L Jayantakumar on July 29, had appealed to the people of the state to cooperate and support the government regarding the opening of COVID-19 facilities.
The minister’s said that without the cooperation and support of the people, it will not be possible to combat the pandemic by the government alone and appealed the people in the backdrop of objections raised by some sections of people in converting a school into a Covid care facility in the district.
