Chandel, June 14: The Bujuur Kaetholik Nongruwr (Moyon Catholic Organisation) celebrated a milestone—its 34th Foundation Day—in grand style. The occasion was marked by the inauguration of its new office building at Tungphae (Heigrutampak) Village in Chandel district.

The ceremony, held at the BKN Head Office, Tungphae, on Saturday, was graced by Rev. Fr. Avince Anthony, Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Parish, Monsang Pantha, who performed the inauguration ritual, while Rev. Fr. Benjamin Kodai Kaje, Parish Priest of St. Paul’s Parish, Liwachangning, offered a special blessing.

In his address, Rev. Fr. Avince Anthony congratulated BKN on its years of dedicated service to the Moyon Catholic community. He emphasized the importance of faith and cooperation, urging the congregation to acknowledge God’s guidance in their endeavors. “Let us cultivate the habit of saying ‘with the help of God’ as we initiate or participate in any divine work,” he said.

Rev. Fr. Benjamin Kodai Kaje reflected on the significance of the 34th Foundation Day, drawing parallels between the 12 churches under BKN and the 12 apostles of Jesus. “May this milestone mark a stepping stone for greater things to come,” he said.

BKN President Upa W. John Tharshing delivered a heartfelt keynote address, recounting the organisation’s journey and milestones. He expressed gratitude to his predecessors, the Tungphae Village Authority for donating land, and the donors who contributed to the new office building project.

The ceremony also included the installation of the new executives of Bujuur Kaetholik Shanu Ruwr (BKSR) by Rev. Fr. Avince Anthony. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including former BKN presidents, BAP officials, catechists, village chiefs, and other dignitaries.
