MSU Stages Thrilling Comeback to Reach Quarter-finals

Senapati, Oct 8: The Mao Students’ Union (MSU) staged a stunning comeback to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against former champions and tournament favourites, New Market FC.

Trailing by two goals, MSU rallied in sensational fashion, with captain Lohrii Kaisii once again leading from the front, scoring twice to inspire the turnaround. W. John sealed the win with the decisive third goal, completing a memorable comeback. He was also named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

With this win, MSU advances to the quarter-finals, where they will face Nagaland United S.C. on October 13, 2025, at the ongoing 25th anniversary edition of the Naga Student’s Federation Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 at IG Stadium, Kohima.
