N Biren: “BJP has translated 80% of its promises”

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh claimed that BJP has translated 80% of the promises it had made in the party manifesto in the 2017 assembly election. He said this at a function at JN Dance Academy in Imphal today.

According to the Chief Minister, BJP brought Inner Line Permit System in the state, works for improvement of NH-37 have been taken up and steps for setting up of Highway Protection are underway. He also said that the recruitment processes for setting up two IRBns have been completed. The two battalions are meant for Highway Protection Force, he added.

The Chief Minister then called upon all sections of the society to share what they wanted to do for the state which the party (BJP) can include the same to its manifesto for the upcoming general elections to the state Assembly.

Also speaking on the occasion, BJP Manipur Pradesh president, A Sarda Devi claimed that BJP is the only party that drafted its election manifesto based on people’s aspirations and wishes.

“The party also keeps the promises it had made in the election manifesto. The implementation of ILPS is one such example,” she added.

Today’s programme was being organized so that the party knows what the people wish from the government and what the party needs to do to fulfill people’s aspirations, she further added.
