Senapati, August 25: As invited by the Advisor, North East, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Naga CSO leaders consisting of the United Naga Council (UNC) and the All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) left Imphal airport at 10:30 AM for New Delhi.

The 11-member delegation of the Naga CSO leaders includes:

Sources from the team stated that they would adhere to their earlier position in defence of the people’s rights. The Naga CSOs and United Naga Council have strongly opposed the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime and the construction of border fencing in Naga-inhabited areas.

The talks are scheduled to take place in New Delhi from 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26. The venue of the talks is yet to be confirmed, according to a source from the delegation.
