The NSCN-IM adopted a resolution on Friday to reiterate its stand that the “Naga national flag and Yehzabo (constitution)” must form a part of the Indo-Naga political solution in order to qualify the Naga deal as honourable and acceptable.

This development came amidst reports that NSCN-IM top leaders including its chairman had left Dimapur for New Delhi a few days ago for formal talks with the Government of India representatives.

In a press statement issued on Friday, the NSCN-IM said that a “Joint Council meeting of NSCN/GPRN was held on Friday at Council Headquarters, Hebron and deliberated on the historical and political rights of the Naga people and how the Indo-Naga political talk has reached this far.

“The house unanimously adopted the resolution to reiterate the stand of NSCN that the Naga national flag and Yehzabo (constitution) must form a part of the Indo-Naga political solution in order to qualify the Naga deal as honourable and acceptable,” said the statement.

According to the press note, the house also resolved that the “Government of India and NSCN must seek a final agreement based on the historic Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015”.
