Naga Hoho constitutes Committee on Naga Political Affairs

Dimapur: The Naga Hoho has constituted ‘Committee on Naga Political Affairs’ (CONPA) during its Presidential Council meeting held on August 31, 2023, at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur. The meeting also deliberated on some of the immediate issues and resolved accordingly.

“In pursuant to the 1st Federal Assembly Res. No. 6 and to pursue for early Naga political solution, the Committee on Naga Political Affairs (CONPA) was reconstituted,” the Naga Hoho said today.

After a thorough discussion, the Naga Hoho meeting also reaffirmed to support  the ongoing political talks for an early political settlement.

Regarding the Naga Hoho tenure of 2019-2023, the meeting, after thorough deliberations keeping in mind the prevailing situations and with reference to the Yehzabo provisions Article 8 Clause 4, recommended for the extension of the present tenure of Naga Hoho for another 6 months which shall be duly regularised by the Federal Assembly.
