Naga Students’ Union Pune Freshers Meet held; Temjen Imna Along as chief guest

Pune: The Naga Students’ Union Pune (NSUP) held its 43rd Freshers Meet on August 19 at Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Auditorium, SB Road, Pune.

NSUP said the 2023 Freshers Meet was graced by Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism and Education, Government of Nagaland, and BJP State President.

Chief guest Temjen Imna Along encouraged the freshers to excel in their pursuits while he expressed his happiness in witnessing the strong sense of unity and solidarity among the Nagas in Pune. The Minister from Nagaland also hoped the NSUP students community would set a positive example for Nagas in other cities.

The event featured a thrilling performance by guest artist Alobo Naga, youth icon, songwriter, composer, music educator, and TEDx speaker. “Despite facing health challenges, his performance captivated the audience, who enthusiastically sang along with him,” said NSUP.

The NSUP President Singam Horam expressed his sincere appreciation on behalf of the students’ Union to Minister Temjen Imna Along and Alobo Naga for their dedicated participation, considering their effort to travel to Pune for the freshers meet event, NSUP added.

While the Union said it is grateful for the massive turnout of people for the event from all walks of life and made it a grand success, it also thanked Minister Temjen Imna Along for making a significant donation to the Naga Students’ Union Pune with deep gratitude.
