Nagaland AICC In-Charge Dr Ajoy Kumar Says People of the State Deserve Better

Kohima: The All India Congress Committee in-charge of Nagaland, Dr Ajoy Kumar said Nagaland has been suppressed with the presence of multiple self governments. The People of Nagaland deserve better, said this during press briefing with press persons, after the meeting with Nagaland Pradesh Committee meeting this evening at Congress Bhawan conference today.

He said one of the most culturally diverse amazing people of Nagaland has to suffer this continues taxes and extortion from so many different group’s.

The Indian National Congress under the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) under the leadership of K Therie we demand there should be “One government, one law and one tax,” said Dr Kumar.

Right now every person in Nagaland is suffering from multiple taxation and extortion happening in Nagaland. The primary job of Nagaland is to implement one law and one tax on the basis of government, but the present chief minister and the whole assembly have committed the biggest crimes against the people of Nagaland, said Dr Ajoy Kumar.

The present government of Nagaland under chief minister Neiphiu Rio has the dubious distinction of being  the most corrupt, most bad government in India, this is Niti Aayog report, said Dr Kumar.

The state with over 86 percent of literacy literacy, a state which has got such a highly educated people has to suffer in the most corrupt and incompetent government in India, he said. “People of Nagaland deserve better and demand better,” he added.

Nagaland which has a diverse, social, cultural history,  is under threat by the government of India under Narendra Modi. The BJP government does not believe in cultural, religious, and social diversity, he said.

The Indian National Congress demand is that the religious freedom of the people of Nagaland, the social freedom, the cultural freedom, the ability  to practice the belief unhinders is under threat, he said.

The Indian National Congress and Nagaland Congress will continue to fight, protest, and educate the people of Nagaland, he said.

He requested the people of Nagaland recognise the fact which is right in front of it. He insisted on the gathering to join in this fight, he said.
