Nagaland govt orders closure of schools till class 8: Regular classes of class 9 to class 12 to continue

The Nagaland government has ordered the closure of all the schools in the state, including residential schools, for students of class 1 to class 8 with immediate effect till further orders.

The order said that this was done in view of the steep rising cases COVID-19 in the country and “the need for taking measures for preventing the spread of the disease in the state.

The order then said that imparting teaching through online mode for all the classes may continue. The order further said that conducting regular classes of class 9 to class 12 will continue for now, subject to adherence to all the provisions of the SOPs issued on February 1, 2021.

The order then said that the ongoing class 10 and class 12 board examinations will continue with strict adherence to the SOPs.
