Nagaland poll 2023 measure begins in Tuensang district

Dimapur: Besides the state administration and the Election Commission of India (ECI) making measures for the Nagaland Assembly poll, respective district administrations have also started working to ensure peaceful elections. One such visible spade-work is the Tuensang district administration which has issued a notice with regard to arms.

The Tuensang district administration has informed all concerned to conduct physical verification of all arms and ammunition being held by the licensees in the Tuensang district per the rules 30 and 112 of the arms rules, 2016.

Therefore, all the arms license holders under Tuensang district have been directed to report to the concerned police stations between 9 am to 3 pm latest by January 20, 2023 with the arms/ ammunition and license booklet for physical verification. Failure to comply will lead to the cancellation of the arms license and invite other penal actions as per the relevant section of the law.

The officer-in-charge of the concerned police stations shall furnish a daily report in excel format.
