Kohima: Nagaland state-wide closure of all shops and business establishments will be held on September 16.

This was announced by the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CNCCI).

The state-wide shutter down is called against the rampant multiple illegal taxation by various groups and government agencies.

The closure of business establishments is also called because of the state government’s failure to respond to their representation submitted to the chief secretary demanding immediate resolution of multiple taxation by NPGs, removal of  all forms of taxes / fees collected by civic bodies on items that come under GST regime etc.
