Nagaland’s Jentiren Jamir to Represent State at Femina Miss India 2024

Kohima: Jentiren Jamir, age 23 under the aegis of Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) will be representing Nagaland in Femina Miss India 2024 slated to be held on October 16 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It may be mentioned that Jentiren Jamir was crowned as the 2nd runner up of Miss Nagaland 2022, which marked the beginning of het journey in pageantry.

Jamir, did her schooling from Jubilee Memorial School Mokokchung, and her bachelors degree from Tetso College in Dimapur. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in Sociology, with the goal of becoming a prominent social activist.

According to Jamir, her participation in Femina Miss India is a dream come true and a significant milestone in her journey of self-discovery, confidence, and growth. She believes that this platform challenges her to push her boundaries and strive for the best version of herself.

She was also trained by Cocoaberry Talent and Academy in Mumbai after being selected to represent Nagaland in this prestigious pageant.

Her primary goal in this competition is to leverage the platform for meaningful social change. She aims to advocate for the less privileged and amplify the voices of marginalized individuals through direct support and awareness-raising. Engaging with these communities helps also her understand the true essence of life and the importance of gratitude.

In her message, Jamir said, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in Femina Miss India. This experience allows me to grow personally and professionally while connecting with inspiring individuals who share my passion for making a difference. I look forward to learning and creating lasting memories throughout this journey.”

Jamir, will also be showcasing the rich Naga culture and values while embodying the principle of ‘Beauty with a purpose.

Notably, after being crowned Miss Nagaland 2nd runner up, Jamir have had the privilege of working with the downtrodden and underprivileged people under the Miss Nagaland BASN (Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland) initiative.
She had initiated the “Beauty with a Purpose” project under the theme Kindness Seed, aiming to uplift the underprivileged and amplify the voices of marginalized communities. Her initiative fosters a culture of kindness and empathy, inspiring people to perform acts of kindness that create a ripple effect in communities around the world.
