National Ayush Mission Conducts Free Health Camp across Nagaland for Senior Citizens

KOHIMA AUG 17: In an effort to reach out to the elderly people, the Ayush Wing under Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW), Nagaland with the theme ‘LIVE HEALTHY, AGE HEALTHY’ carried out series of geriatric health camps across Nagaland from 10th to 17th August 2024 covering 12 districts through Ayush Health and Wellness Centre (AHWC). 

During the campaign, free medical examinations & treatment, consultations and medicines were distributed. Also, considering the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the senior citizens were taught basic fitness & exercise regime.

National State Ayush Mission, with the support of the Ministry of Ayush, aims to improve the quality of life for the elderly people through geriatric health camps and other alike activities by spreading health awareness and tending basic medical aid for the elders, periodically. 

Officials of Ayush/NAM Nagaland Dr. T Bendangtula Deputy Director(Ayush) and State Nodal Officer(NAM) Dr. Seyiekhrieto John are overseeing the campaign.
