NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma to visit Ukhrul on July 4

Ukhrul: Ahead of the official visit of National Commission for Women (NCW), chairperson Rekha Sharma in Imphal and Ukhrul. The office of the deputy commissioner Ukhrul has notified for an interaction programme with Rekha Sharma along with Tangkhul civil bodies, NGOs and district administration.

The interaction programme will be held at DRDA Training Hall, Mini Secretariat Ukhrul on 4 July at 11:30 am.

According to Chunglenmang, deputy commisioner in-charge Ukhrul, the notification was issued in pursuance of the NCW letter dated June 30 concerning the official visit.

It further notified all the district level officers including women civil society organisations to attend the said programme.

Chairperson NCW rank is equivalent to the rank of secretary to the Government of India.

It be mentioned that Rekha Sharma, chairperson, NCW has been declared as “State Guest” vide Secretariat, General Administration Department (Welfare section) order no Welf – 504/3/2020 GAD – GAD dated 30 June, 2022.
