Chandel, July 29: The newly elected executive members of the Chakpikarong Sub-Division Sporting Association (CSDSA) for the tenure 2024-2028 were installed on Monday by Ht. Ṭangshel, Pastor, Chakpikarong Bazar Baptist Church.
CSDSA is one of the biggest sporting bodies in Chandel district and has been organising an annual sports meet in the month of January for decades now. The event, comprising mainly of football and volleyball, is often participated by over 50 teams from over Chandel district.

The newly elected executive members are Ps. Sanjoy as president, Ws. Ninghman as vice president, Lh. Tangkhel as general secretary, Sp. Kargilson as joint secretary, St. Changde as finance secretary, Rd. Konahring as games and sports secretary, Rt. Phetha as Asst. Game & Sport Secretary, Lk. Sulhungri as Woman Co-Ordinator, Kl. Toninghman as Joint woman Co-Ordinator and Nl. Kopunhring and Hb. Kowarshing as Info. & Publicity Secretaries.
Former president, Bd. Onahring along with Sr. Warthung, Sp. Wartha, Ps. Jaruingam, ANCACSD, SDO Chakpikarong and Ex – Officio were chosen as advisors.

Praying for the newly elected executive members, Pastor Ht. Tangshel invoked God’s blessings upon them so that they may glorify God through sports and use the medium to spread the message of God. He called on them to always put God first, even in sports so that they work would be a success.
Outgoing President Bd. Onahring expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation for all the support and cooperation extended during his tenure from 2022 to 2025. He also extended his best wishes to the new executive members and called on them to take CSDSA to greater heights.
