Manipur’s Ngiiriiti Rothangrii Monsang Wins National Veer Gatha 4.0 Award

Chandel: Ngiiriiti Rothangrii Monsang, the Daughter of Ng Benithan and Sh. Rosila, from Japhou in Chandel district, was awarded the winner of Veer Gatha 4.0 for Class 9-10 in the National Level Competition on Multi-Media Presentation. She received her award in New Delhi on 25 January 2025 as part of the Republic Day celebrations.

Ngiiriiti Rothangrii Monsang is a Class IX Student of Koinonia Training School situated at Chandel District of Manipur.

She is one of the 100 winners from the fourth edition of the Veer Gatha competition, which saw the participation of over 1.76 crore students from 2.5 lakh schools across the country. Of the 100 winners, 66 were girls, including Ngiiriiti Rothangrii Monsang.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan felicitated the winners on Saturday (January 25, 2025).

To honour her remarkable achievement, the Monsang Elders Forum Delhi (MEFD) and the Monsang Students Union Delhi (STSD) organized a Felicitation cum Thanksgiving Congratulatory Lunch on 26th January 2025 at Vasant Kunj, Delhi. The event featured a warm gathering and a delightful lunch, where community members came together to celebrate her success.

Th Tommy Monsang, Chairman of MEFD, congratulated her on behalf of the Monsang Community Delhi and presented a memento as a mark of appreciation. He further remarked that such individual achievements bring pride to the community and encouraged her to strive for more success in the future.

Ng Mohonshing, President of STSD, also extended his congratulations and presented a token of love.

Rothangrii shared her experience and happiness, expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone present for their support and encouragement.

Ng Benithan, President of Sirti Upa Ruh, expressed immense joy and pride in his daughter’s achievement. He also thanked MEFD and STSD for organizing the felicitation program to honour her outstanding accomplishment.
