Nagaland recorded 53 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the Health department.
Out of the new cases of the disease, 41 are from Dimapur, 10 from Kohima, one from Peren and one from Phek.
With this update, the state has recorded till date 12,800 cases of COVID-19, while the number of active cases of the disease stands at 385.
Meanwhile, the administration has announced to impose night curfew in Dimapur from Friday, April 23. The curfew will begin everyday from 8 pm to 5 am. This step is taken as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“All shops, business establishments, restaurants etc are to be closed by 7 pm. Commercial activities and any assembly of four or more persons have also been prohibited,” an official order said. However, emergency and essential services will be exempted from the purview of the curfew.
