Noney: NH-37 halted due to rockslide at K. Sinam

National Highway-37 (Jiribam-Imphal) was halted for few hours due to rockslide near K. Sinam Village, Kangpokpi District, which is around 38 km away from Imphal. The rockslide occurred at around 2:30 PM in the afternoon.

On receiving the information regarding disruption of vehicle on NH-37, debris were later cleared by CRPF Personals and one Construction Company working nearby using excavators.

Several number of vehicle were stranded on both sides due to the road blockage.

It can be mentioned that rockslide and landslide occurred very often in this area. Transportation were blocked even for days in several occasions. NH-37 is one of the lifeline of Manipur connecting Assam via Jiribam.
