KOHIMA, JULY 12: Two political parties have merged with the Naga People’s Front (NPF) in the past one year in Nagaland. The latest case is the Rising People’s Party (RPP) which merged with the ruling NPF on July 11, 2026. In 2025, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) merged with the ruling party.
It can be mentioned here that RPP was formed in 2021 with a strong anti-corruption slogan. With the launching of the party, RPP was very vocal in attacking the Nagaland government all along.
