Ukhrul, October 7: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has clarified that the viral circulated “fictitious budget” on social media platforms regarding the expenditure of Ato kilonser Thuingaleng Muivah’s home visit to Somdal, his native village in Manipur’s Ukhrul district, as a “deliberate tactic” employed by adversaries with malicious intentions.

The MIP, NSCN/GPRN stated, “It utterly absurd to suggest that the NSCN or the concerned Committee would produce or disclose such a budget publicly,” while adding that the misinformation widely circulated on Facebook and WhatsApp appears to be a deliberate tactic employed by adversaries with malicious intentions.

It further denied having prepared such a budget for the Home visit of the Ato Kilonser.

Th Muivah, 91, will return to his hometown on October 22, after 50 long years.
