NSCN-IM expels two senior leaders; orders personnel under their command to report to GHQ

UKHRUL: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has expelled Lieut. Gen. (Retd) Hanshi Ramsan, VC, MCL, and Lieut. Gen. (Retd) Absalom Raman, MC, EMSC, and has ordered personnel serving under their command to report to Council Headquarters (CHQ) / General Headquarters (GHQ) without delay.

The termination order, dated June 24, was issued by Yaruiwo Q. Tuccu, accusing the two of repeatedly defying CHQ’s reconciliation initiatives, defrauding the government over a prolonged period, and forming a parallel breakaway organization for their own whims and personal interests.

“They deliberately defied the council and committed the following anti-national activities: 1. Disloyalty 2. Insubordination 3. Mutiny 4. Rebellion 5. Inciting mutiny 6. Desertion 7. Extortion 8. Unauthorized alliances 9. Treason 10. Drug trafficking 11. Embezzlement 12. Formation of a breakaway parallel organization. Now therefore, the defiant members Lieut. Gen. (Retd) Hs. Ramsan, VC, MCL, and Lieut. Gen. (Retd) A. Raman, MC, EMSC, are hereby expelled from the organization of NSCN/GPRN,” the termination order read.

The order also stated that all ranks, titles, awards, and entitlements accorded to them by the government have been stripped off and withdrawn with immediate effect.

Pursuant to this, another order was issued by the Yaruiwo on July 1, stating that the collective future of the Naga nation cannot be held hostage to uncertainty, stagnation, and disarray resulting from acts of insubordination, breach of trust, and pursuit of personal enrichment by certain expelled members in violation of their oath of allegiance to the nation.

The order directed all ranks and files of the NSCN-IM serving under the command of Hanshi Ramsan and Absalom Raman to cease all forms of communication, contact, and operational linkage with the aforementioned expelled members forthwith. It further instructed these personnel to report to the Council Headquarters (CHQ) / General Headquarters (GHQ) without delay for documentation and reassignment.

“This order shall be complied with by all ranks and files without exception. Non-compliance with this order shall attract strict disciplinary action against the defaulter(s),” the order warned.
