DIMAPUR, SEP 13: The NSCN-IM said it had taken cognizance of the wave of change in its favour during the past few days back. “Importantly, we acknowledge the promise of God, “Call upon me on the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”(Psalm 50:15),” it quoted the Bible. Recently, there was a wave of attack against the NSCN-IM (Naga Army) by KNA (B) who were working in collusion with PDF and Assam Rifles (AR) to take on the Naga Army in the Naga areas bordering Myanmar, alleged the NSCN-IM in a statement. “But we were able to send the enemy away causing massive damage to the fleeing enemy forces,” it claimed.
The NSCN-IM then gave thanks to the “Almighty God for His unwavering love and protection” to Southern Command of Naga Army of the NSCN-IM. On the fateful, the combined forces of PDF, KNA(B) and Assam Rifles(AR) ambushed the Naga Army of the NSCN-IM who were on their “national security duty” near the border areas, said the statement of the NSCN-IM. “Miraculous as it is, there was no casualty on the side of Naga Army. When the Naga Army retaliated, the enemy were left with heavy losses as more than 14 KNA(B)/PDF cadres and 4 AR personnel were killed,” the NSCN-IM further claimed, adding, “The Naga Army also captured a huge stock of arms and ammunition including drones from the areas vacated by the fleeing enemy”.

The same thing happened on September 3, 2024, where the same enemy forces were in a drunken state and asleep waiting to ambush the Naga Army of the NSCN-IM again, alleged the statement. “They lost 4 lives here and we were able to capture sophisticated arms and ammunition. We came out unscathed and victorious again on our side like before. We stand up to salute Jesus our saviour, the Captain, the Shepherd, the commander of the Naga Army for His miraculous deliverance from the hands of our enemies,” the NSCN-IM added.
The NSCN-IM then said that, to make its stand very sharp and clear on “protecting the territories that belong to us, Naga Army were compelled to strategise their action to crackdown on the marauding gangs of KNA(B)/PDF and AR,” it stated. On September 11, 2024, around 4 pm, Naga Army launched an attack on the defence line of KNA(B) and their alliances, the NSCN-IM informed. Without suffering any casualty “we neutralised” 9 of the enemy forces in action, it claimed. Unfortunately, due to unceasing bombing by drones from the enemy side “we were forced to retreat. Nevertheless, we captured one AK-81 and many rounds of ammunition from the battlefield”, it stated.

Significantly, the Jadonang Brigade, NP Battalion and Central Command of Naga Army, in collaboration with CAO and staffs of the Zeilad has managed to bring home 14 members belonging to ZUF(Jenchui Kamei Cessation of Operation), NSCN-K and NNC into the mainstream fold under NSCN-IM, said the statement of the NSCN-IM. This was achieved employing diplomacy and peaceful means, it stated, adding, “Three are from NSCN-K, one from NNC and 10 from ZUF”. These members admitted their folly of being duped and carried away under false promises, said the statement. “Thus, a joyful moment for the Naga Army as we came again under God’s never failing grace when we call on Him. Time and again God help us win the battle without having to put any considerable strain on our resources. The power of God we humbly bow down to admit,” the NSCN-IM statement also said.
The NSCN-IM statement then said the wave of Naga people’s support to “NSCN is visibly seen in Tamenglong, South Nagalim, in the present Manipur state”.The Rongmei peoples have again taken the stand in favour of the “historic Framework Agreement as the only acceptable means for Indo-Naga political solution”, it added. The Bible says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”(John 8: 32), the statement further added.
