Ukhrul, May 13: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), has issued a weather advisory warning of rainfall activity across the state from May 15 to May 21, 2025. The forecast includes moderate to light rainfall throughout the period, with heavy rainfall expected in all districts on May 18.

According to the NSDMA, these rain showers may be accompanied by lightning in isolated areas. Intermittent rainfall is likely to persist throughout the week, prompting authorities to advise precautionary measures to prevent weather-related disruptions.

“Given the forecast of lightning and high winds, there is a risk of disruption to communication and connectivity,” stated Dr. Johnny Ruangmei, Joint Chief Executive Officer of NSDMA.
